International CSR guidelines and standards

The growing interest in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been accompanied by the development of several international guidelines and standards. These documents, created by all kinds of organizations, set out to help companies put CSR into practice in a general way, or by placing emphasis on specific CSR aspects, such as human rights, labour rights, health and safety in the workplace, the environment, and corruption. A description of the most important CSR guidelines and standards will now be given.
