Aware of the importance of collaboration between universities and companies, not just in the development and training of future professionals but also in the broadening of knowledge in the business world and the creation of opinion of general interest, at the beginning of 2006, MANGO and the ESCI started a collaboration agreement that is brought together in the “MANGO Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility”.

We are interested in deepening our knowledge about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and, in general, analysing the sustainability of economic and business activity. In the framework of this Chair, we hope to create knowledge and to prompt analysis and debate on these matters and, at the same time, transfer these reflections to the public opinion. In this sense, all the initiatives of the Chair are based on fostering research activities into CSR and related areas.

With this spirit, we consider it to be highly necessary that the Chair should be a meeting place and point of union between the various institutions and companies that work in the CSR area, to contribute towards clarifying matters and looking in greater depth into the real analysis of many of the features that are currently basic in the area of CSR research.

From the Chair, we make sure that all the companies, institutions and organisations that, in one way or another, are linked to CSR are able to participate in the various projects and pieces of research that are carried out from the Chair.
